Special Interest Groups (SIGs) allow AIS members interested in a particular field of specialization to connect and collaborate. You may find a list of our current SIGs, their abbreviated names, and more information below. Please follow this link for more information about SIGs.

    The Special Interest Group on Accounting Information System (SIG ASYS) dedicates itself to facilitating, supporting and disseminating world class research on accounting information systems. Becoming a member of SIG ASYS helps support research into the nexus between accounting and information systems. The International Journal of Accounting Information Systems publishes articles that examine the rapidly evolving relationship between accounting and information technology.

    The SIG BD was established in 2015 by a group of ten international IS scholars, with an objective to create a multidisciplinary research forum. The scope of the forum was related to the latest industrial impacts of applied Big Data analytics in the areas of business process modelling, enterprise architecture, data processing and e-commerce.

    The Special Interest Group on Blockchain Innovations and Technologies (SIGBIT) is a SIG of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). SITBIT provides a platform for researchers and practitioners interested in blockchain-driven innovations and technologies, such as Web3.0, DeFi, and NFT, to exchange ideas and share experiences and knowledge.     This SIG is dedicated to promoting excellence in information management/systems/technology education, research and practice.
