Methods and Theories

Information systems researchers use a bevvy of research methods and theoretical lenses to explore phenomena of interest. The following links will take you to sites that have been developed by members of the IS community who are experts in particular areas.

Journals and Journal Rankings

Information systems, like other fields, has several publishing outlets for researchers. Not all outlets have the same acceptance rates, submission rates, reviewing procedures, or editorial boards. Naturally, prestige is at least partially dependent on those factors. Rather than have a set of "acceptable" journals imposed upon us, AIS offers these resources for its members to support their tenure and promotion cases.

Indexing

AIS continuously searches for opportunities to expand the reach and accessibility of research published by AIS and affiliated journals and conferences.
