PUBLISHING CONFERENCE PAPERS IN AIS JOURNALS AIS believes that it is the best interests of the field for research to be first presented at a conference and then published in a more refined format in a journal. The conference review process and the presentation of the study to colleagues helps improve the research, so the research has the opportunity to be much more fully developed for review by journals. As a result, the AIS Policy on Conference and Journal Publication encourages conference papers to be published in journals. Please note that this policy applies to AIS conferences (so there are no copyright issues to prevent your AIS conference paper from being published in any journal (AIS or not)), and to AIS journals (so there are no restrictions preventing you from submitting your paper from any conference (AIS or not) to an AIS journal). Many non-AIS journals, including AIS-affiliated journals, have policies similar to the AIS policy; However, authors should consult with the journal about their policy concerning the submission of conference papers. If you have questions, please contact the current Vice President of Publications (https://aisnet.org/page/AISCouncil). AI Guidelines AIS has been looking closely at gen-AI developments over the past year. An AI-for-AIS task force was established and has been working on providing guidance to the association on issues relating to such things as the use of AI in research, in reviewing, in the eLibrary, and more. Based on input from the task force, the leadership team is seeking feedback on the provision of some guidelines to authors of AIS conference and journal submissions concerning uses of AI in the research process. The guidelines are intended to highlight potential uses of AI that, upon submission, do not require disclosure, as well as potential uses that, upon submission, should be disclosed. The enclosed table is an initial draft and we invite feedback on this table as we work to provide something that, we hope, will be helpful without being overwhelming. We invite your feedback. GREEN OPEN ACCESS POLICY AIS has a green Open Access Policy. Authors may immediately self-archive their articles without an embargo period when publishing in these AIS journals:
AIS’s self-archiving option pertains to the version of the article that received the official acceptance letter from the editor after successfully passing peer review (i.e., post-print or Author’s Accepted Manuscript) or the final, official published
version after the publisher has copy-edited, formatted and distributed it (i.e., version of record). Authors may self-archive the version of their research article that they choose on their website, or on a publicly-accessible institutional or subject-based
repository
AIS RESEARCH CODE OF CONDUCT AIS members are expected to adhere to the AIS Research Code of Conduct, which has been developed by the Research Conduct Committee (RCC), whose members are listed below, and endorsed by AIS Council.

Please visit conduct.aisnet.org for additional information about the complaint resolution process and to file a report. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please contact the chair of the RCC. or the president of AIS.
