How to add a SIG, Chapter, or College
to your Current AIS Membership 

The following procedures are only required when joining an AIS Community outside of the regular join or renewal process. Questions? Please contact AIS Membership staff at membership@aisnet.org.

Please sign in to your account at www.AISnet.org before following the instructions below.

For Special Interest Group (SIG) membership: 

1. Navigate to https://aisnet.org/page/AISSIGs.
2. Select the name of the SIG you are interested in to reveal the group’s description.
3. Click “Join Now” to be taken to the group’s store item.
4. Click “Add Item”.
5. Click “Checkout” and follow the prompts. 

For Chapter membership: 

1. Ensure you are in your membership profile. If you are not, please click “Manage Profile” at the top right of the screen.
2. When in your membership profile, click “Groups” on the blue horizontal navigation bar.
3. Look for “Available Groups” on the right section of the page and select “View All”.
4. Search for the name of the Chapter you are interested in joining. 
5. Click the “Join Group” link at the bottom of the Chapter’s description.

If you receive a pop-up notification stating “The group you are attempting to access requires a fee to join. You may only join a fee-based group during initial registration or renewal. If you would like to join prior to your renewal, please contact your administrator.”, please visit the AIS store to purchase membership.

Note: Many chapters charge and collect dues in their local currencies.  Please contact a chapter representative to discuss paying your chapter dues. 

For College membership: 

1. Ensure you are in your membership profile. If you are not, please click “Manage Profile” at the top right of the screen.
2. When in your membership profile, click “Groups” on the blue horizontal navigation bar.
3. Look for “Available Groups” on the right section of the page and select “View All”.
4. Search for the name of the College you are interested in joining. 
5. Click the “Join Group” link at the bottom of the College’  description.

Note: Membership in the AIS College is Senior Scholars is by invitation only.
