Announcing the May 2025 Cohort of AIS Distinguished Members

Wednesday, June 18, 2025   (0 Comments)

AIS is proud to welcome the newest cohort of AIS Distinguished Members and AIS Distinguished Members – Cum Laude. This year, 83 members have been honored with the AIS Distinguished Member designation, and 21 of those members have earned the prestigious AIS Distinguished Member – Cum Laude recognition.

With more than 500 members now holding this recognition, the Distinguished Member designation continues to represent a meaningful achievement. It is not simply a marker of time but a reflection of consistent contributions to AIS and the field of IS through scholarship, leadership, service, and participation.

This program plays a key role in reinforcing the values of connection, engagement, and dedication that are central to our mission. As AIS continues to grow, the Distinguished Member program helps celebrate those who invest in the community not only by being members, but by being active participants in its progress.

The AIS Distinguished Member program celebrates individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of five years of continuous AIS membership,

  • Service in a significant role in AIS or an AIS-related activity, and

  • At least one publication in an AIS or AIS-affiliated journal.

The AIS Distinguished Member – Cum Laude designation is reserved for those who have:

  • Maintained at least ten years of continuous AIS membership,

  • Provided leadership in AIS or an AIS-related activity, and

  • Published at least four times in AIS or AIS-affiliated journals.

The 2025 cohort will be recognized during the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS 2025) in Nashville, Tennessee, US, as well as at the AIS membership booth.

AIS congratulates this year’s honorees and thanks them for their continued commitment to advancing the field of information systems and supporting the global AIS community.

Applications for the next cohort are due November 1, 2025. Self-nominations are welcome. To apply or view the full list of AIS Distinguished Members, visit: https://aisnet.org/page/distinguishedmember
