The AIS Doctoral Student College is pleased to announce a webinar panel to discuss the topic “Research Ethics in the Digital Age”. This event will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 1:00pm EDT to 2:30pm EDT (UTC-4). We will have three expert panelists to discuss how new developments in generative AI will affect the future of research ethics.

This topic’s relevance has continued to increase, as demonstrated by the first JAIS special issue in 2024, titled, “The Future Impact of AI on Academic Journals and the Editorial Process”. Various academic disciplines outside of IS and management have also been exploring how AI is impacting the future of their own research. This panel will aim to help the next generation of IS researchers understand what ethical issues will need to be considered when conducting research, reviewing research, and using AI tools.

This event is organized by the AIS Region 1 (Americas) coordinator team for the Doctoral Student College. All students worldwide are of course welcome to attend.

Please save the date and time in your calendar.
