1. Why did you originally join AIS, and what has kept you involved?
I first engaged with AIS during a visiting period abroad, where I had the opportunity to attend IS lecturers, and meet a senior scholar who introduced me to the Information Systems field and its rich sociotechnical tradition. I was inspired by its nature and attitude to integrate technical and social dimensions. From that moment, I naturally progressed, presenting at conferences, joining doctoral and junior faculty events, and step by step becoming part of a vibrant, supportive, and globally connected community.
2. What's a recent professional accomplishment you're proud of?
I am particularly proud of having published the core outcomes of my doctoral research in leading journals (such as JIT and I&M), consolidating a consistent research trajectory. At the same time, I was humbled to be recognised as an AIS Distinguished Member in 2025, an acknowledgement that strengthened my motivation to contribute actively to our scholarly community and further pursue impactful academic work.
3. What's the best career advice you've ever received?
The most meaningful advice I received was: You don't need a crystal ball; be positive, take action, and let your work speak for you. Instead of focusing on uncertainties or complaints, I was taught to channel energy into doing. Goals are often achieved not by overplanning, but by making consistent steps and seizing opportunities. Authenticity, curiosity, and resilience are the qualities that I look for to shape a meaningful career.
4. What's a hidden talent, interesting hobby, or fun fact you'd like to share about yourself?
I never imagined myself as someone talkative or outgoing; on the contrary, I was once quite reserved and introverted. What changed me? AIS. Attending conferences and joining this global community gave me the courage to step up, speak out, and transform fear into dialogue. Over time, I began to enjoy conversations, networking, and sharing both formal and informal moments with peers. These experiences didn't just build my confidence; they helped me find my personal and academic identity.
