Actionable Items from NCWIT's February 3rd Meeting

NCWIT launched a “Hidden Figures” campaign to run through May, when Author Margot Lee Shetterly will keynote the 2017 NCWIT Summit. Upcoming initiatives from NCWIT include a co-hosted Twitter chat with the Anita Borg Institute on February 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. EST. Not only will we talk about the importance of diverse media portrayals of technical women, but we will also celebrate the stories of Black women in tech that have been overlooked or not widely shared.  

Use the hashtag #NotHiddenAnymore to be part of the conversation!
 
Also, also NCWIT’s social media so far for the Hidden Figures campaign has generated a reach of 119,946 via Facebook with 167% engagement. Via Twitter it has generated a reach of 1,665,075, garnering 65,379 impressions.
