AIS and Temple University Call for Participation in 2024 Job Index Report

Monday, March 18, 2024   (0 Comments)

The Association for Information Systems (AIS) and Temple University's Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) invite universities across the United States to participate in the upcoming release of the highly anticipated Information Systems Job Index report. The IS Job Index has become an important resource for chairs and faculty, current and prospective students, industry, and deans on the state of the IS discipline.

Led by IBIT Executive Director Munir Mandviwalla, Baylor University's Associate Professor Michael Dinger, and IBIT Director Laurel Miller, this collaborative effort aims to provide invaluable insights into the placement, demographics, and job trends within the realm of information systems (IS), management information systems (MIS), and computer information systems (CIS) graduates.

Launched in 2013 and published every two years at isjobindex.com, each report analyzes several thousand job market entrants from more than 30 universities across the United States. The report profiles IS job market demographics, popular job types, current salaries, factors leading to offers, reasons for job acceptance and rejection, regional and industry trends, and knowledge levels and preparedness.

Currently focused on the United States, the long-term plan is to publish a global IS Job Index. However, accomplishing this goal will require regional customization. If you are interested in helping expand the IS Job Index globally and can bring resources to the project, please contact Laurel Miller at Laurel.Miller@temple.edu.

Universities in the United States interested in contributing to the 2024 research initiative are encouraged to visit the IS Job Index website at https://isjobindex.com/call-for-participation-2024/.
