IS undergraduate and Master's Students Meet at Utah State University for SCLC 2024

The AIS Student Chapter Leadership Conference (SCLC) and Competitions connect your undergraduate and master’s students with information systems students, faculty, and corporate representatives from around the world. Students will build relationships with peers while sharing best practices on operating and funding chapters, learning how to connect with recruiters, increasing membership, and member involvement. This year the in-person conference will be hosted by Utah State University in Logan, UT, USA from March 21 – March 23, 2024.

“We are eager to see all attendees at this year's AIS Student Chapter Leadership Conference held at Utah State!” said AIS Associate Vice President of Student Chapters, Gladys Simpson. “The 2024 SCLC offers undergraduates, master's students, and faculty a chance to broaden perspectives, enhance professional skills, and create enduring connections with peers and mentors. Join us for engaging competitions, student-driven panels, industry-led talks, and hands-on workshops. We are excited to see you there!”

Conference organizers are excited to share more details about the two Keynote Sessions for the conference. On Friday, the keynote speaker is David M.R. Covey, CEO and founder of SMCOVEY, a global licensing business; the COO of FranklinCovey, a business consulting company; and a sales rep for Procter & Gamble, a multinational consumer goods company. David is also a bestselling author of “Trap Tales: Outsmarting the 7 Hidden Obstacles to Success.”

The second Keynote Session, held on Saturday, will be a joint presentation featuring Jeannie L. Johnson, Director of USU's Center for Anticipatory Intelligence and an Associate Professor in the Political Science Department at Utah State University, and Dr. Sharad Jones, Professional Practice Assistant Professor of Data Analytics and Information Systems in the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.
