Over its 28-year history, the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) has continued to promote top tier research within the information systems community. The entire history of AMCIS papers, more than 13,000 works, can be found in the AIS eLibrary at https://aisel.aisnet.org/amcis/. With more than 2 million downloads since its inception, AMCIS continues to be one of the most highly cited bodies of conference proceedings in the AIS eLibrary.
To recognize those who have contributed to this long-standing tradition of top tier research, AIS is proud to recognize the most downloaded papers from AMCIS from prior decades with an AMCIS Impact Award.
“AMCIS continues to cultivate its strategy to be both an accessible and inclusive conference and a conference that publishes papers that are having an impact on a number of our members' research and thinking,” said Monica Garfield, Vice President of Region 1.
The most downloaded AMCIS papers from the 1990s include:
Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Organizational Key Factors for Successful Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems https://aisel.aisnet.org/amcis1999/276/
