Focus on Society An AIS membership opens the door to many benefits aimed at improving personal careers, creating networks for advanced IS research, providing opportunities to create more inclusive communities and more. For the next few months, AIS will be highlighting the many programs and services the association offers through our Focus on Society. This new program, Focus on Society, will not only highlight the longstanding programs and services our members have grown to expect, but also highlight recent additions to help create a more robust member experience. We invite you to share the ways you have benefitted personally and professionally from your AIS membership in the comments below! Distinguished Speakers Program Many times, when planning an event one of the hardest parts is finding someone to speak or participate on a panel. As an AIS member, you have access to the AIS Distinguished Speakers Program which provides access to expert speakers on a variety of information systems research, education, and management topics. The speakers program aims to promote the field of information systems throughout the world by identifying speakers to address topics valuable for academia, industry, and government. Members of the AIS Distinguished Speakers Program are selected by a standing committee made up of two members from each AIS identified region who serves a two-year term. The committee identifies topic listings and speakers. Members of the AIS Distinguished Speakers Program will serve an initial three-year term with their speaker profile available online. Information to find a speaker or become a speaker can be found here: https://aisnet.org/page/DistinguishedSpeaker. |
