Dear members of the IS community,
For the first time in its 40 year history, the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) will be a virtual conference in 2020. Concerns for the health, safety and budgets of our members and all stakeholders are paramount and led to the decision by the ICIS Executive Committee and AIS Council.
The ICIS 2020 Conference Committee, ICIS Executive Committee, and AIS staff and volunteers are excited to put forth a great program, with workshops, ancillary events, research presentations, keynotes, panels, networking opportunities and much more.
The dates of ICIS 2020 will remain the same—December 13-16, 2020, with pre-ICIS events beginning on December 12 and post-conference events immediately following.
As the premier academic conference on information systems in the world, ICIS will include the top tier research that attendees have come to expect through paper presentations and keynote speakers, as well as the Doctoral Consortium for students to present research, work with peers, and gain an understanding of the IS academic community. For more information, please visit https://icis2020.aisconferences.org/.
The opportunity for AIS Communities to gather virtually will be possible through ancillary meetings and events. Please visit the ICIS 2020 Ancillary Meeting website for more information at https://icis2020.aisconferences.org/events/ancillary-meetings/.
We truly appreciate the patience our colleagues have provided as we worked toward a conference that best serves our community. The ICIS 2020 committee will be presenting the conference as a full program and exceptional participation by the SIG community is expected. We are excited to welcome the entire Information Systems community to experience this unique virtual event.
