2017-18 Outstanding Student Chapters Honored

AIS is excited to announce the recipients of the 2017-2018 Student Chapter Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement among student chapters of the association.

Utah State University has been named the AIS Student Chapter of the Year. This is the highest award given to a student chapter that has demonstrated an exceptional, well-rounded, and organized program.

“This year’s annual report submission were extremely impressive and the awards committee used these reports to help determine the best and brightest of our student chapters,” said AIS Vice President of Student Chapters, Rhonda Syler. “Our Student Chapters are extremely engaged and involved and we are extremely excited to help celebrate their hard work.”

The University of Michigan at Dearborn and the University of Colorado at Denver were both named Distinguished chapters by the association for excelling in professional development, membership, careers in IS, community service, fundraising and communications.

The Outstanding Chapter Award is given to chapters who have shown excellence in at least three areas of chapter activities. The 2017-18 Outstanding Student Chapters were University of Arkansas and University of Montana at Missoula.
