2013 AIS Council Election Results

The 2013 voting is now complete and it is my pleasure to
announce the results of the AIS elections. The following candidates have been
elected and will take office on July 1, 2013:
President-elect (Region 2) -- Helmut Krcmar, Technische
Universität München
(Josep Valor, IESE Business School was the runner up)
VP
of Publications -- Virpi Tuunainen, Aalto University School of
Business
( Robert Davison, City University of Hong Kong and Ping Zhang, Syracuse
University were the runners up)
VP of SIGS and Chapters -- Julie Kendall, Rutgers University
(Md. Mahfuz Ashraf, University of Dhaka; Walter Fernandez,
Australian National University; and Norbert Gronau, University of Potsdam, Germany were
the runners up)
Region
2 Representative (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) -- Tim Weitzel, University of
Bamberg
(Remko Helms, Utrecht
University; Jonny Holmstron, Umeå University, Sweden; and Selma Limam Mansar,
Carnegie Mellon University Qatar were the runners up)
We extend sincere thanks to the Nominating Committee, to all those who stood
for election, and to the membership for their participation in the 2013 AIS
elections. Congratulations to the new office holders!
