2017 Student Chapter Award Winners

AIS is proud to announce the recipients of the 2017 Student Chapter Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement among student chapters of the association.

The University of Alabama has been named the AIS Student Chapter of the Year. This is the highest award given to a student chapter that has demonstrated an exceptional, well-rounded, and organized program.
Additionally, the University of Georgia and Brigham Young University have been named Distinguished Chapters by the association for excelling in professional development, membership, careers in IS, community service, fundraising, and communications.
The Outstanding Chapter Award is given to chapters who have shown excellence in at least three areas of chapter activities. Arizona State University has been named the 2017 Outstanding Student Chapter.

The Best New Chapter Award is given to the best chapter founded (or restarted) 15 months or less before the report due date. This year's Best New Chapter is awarded to the Rotterdam School of Management

Each year AIS Student Chapters are required to submit an annual report to maintain good standing and communicate the good work of the chapter from the past year. The award recipients are determined by a committee of volunteers who meticulously screened each chapter report.
