The Association for Information Systems is excited to announce a new agreement with the OR Society, making articles selected by editors of the European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS) and Health Systems available to AIS members.

An official journal of the OR Society (Operational Research Society), EJIS provides a critical view on technology, development, implementation, strategy, management and policy in the field of information systems. The journal focuses on a European perspective on the theory and practice of IS for a wide global audience.

EJIS is identified as one of the top eight journals in the field of IS by the AIS Senior Scholars’ Basket of Journals. It is highly respected by IS researchers around the globe.

“The addition of EJIS to our list of affiliated journals available to AIS members is a tremendous asset to the information systems community,” said Carol Saunders, AIS Vice President of Publications.

Health Systems, also from the OR Society, is an interdisciplinary journal promoting the idea that all aspects of health and healthcare delivery can be viewed from a systems perspective. Health Systems has been accepted into the Thomson Reuters “Emerging Sources Citation Index”. This index recognizes new contributions to fields and allows new title to be discoverable through their web of science.

Health Systems’ philosophy is that health and healthcare systems are characterized by complexity and interconnectedness, where everything affects everything else. The principal aim of Health Systems is to bring together critical disciplines that have proved themselves already in health, and to leverage these contributions by providing a forum that brings together diverse viewpoints and research approaches (qualitative, quantitative, and conceptual).

"Since my days as AIS president, I have advocated free, ongoing and engaging academic dialog for all, and journals are certainly one of the critical components of the dialog," said Dov Te'eni, former AIS President. "I’m therefore thrilled that EJIS is joining the party, and pledge its spirit of diverse, deep, impactful and interesting discourse, as academic dialog should be."

This is excellent news. We now have MISQ, JAIS, ISJ and EJIS in the AIS e-library. That just leaves JIT, JSIS, JMIS and ISR to go (of the 8 in the senior scholars' basket).
