The AIS Distinguished Member designation is a special recognition for individuals who have made notable contributions to the association. Since its launch in 2019, the AIS Distinguished Member designation has been granted to 178 members and the AIS Distinguished Member – Cum Laude designation has been granted to 254 members. We encourage AIS members to apply for the appropriate designation as these criteria are met:
AIS Distinguished Member
At least 5 years of continuous AIS membership
A significant role in AIS or an affiliated activity
At least one publication in an AIS or AIS-affiliated journal
AIS Distinguished Member – Cum Laude
At least 10 years of continuous AIS membership
A leadership role in AIS or an affiliated activity
At least four publications in AIS or AIS-affiliated journals
Both levels will receive recognition on the AIS website, designation on an AIS membership card, and a printable certificate for tenure packets. Additionally, individuals who achieve either designation will receive acknowledgment on the AIS website and will be recognized at Member Connect and at the membership booth during ICIS 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Please submit an application no later than May 1, 2025. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please send a message to the AIS Membership team at membership@aisnet.org for a quick verification.
