SIG IT Project Management: Leading the Future of IT Project Success The Special Interest Group for IT Project Management (SIG ITProjMgmt) plays a crucial role in promoting the value and importance of IT project management across research, education, and practice. The group's mission is to elevate the role of project management within IT, offering a rewarding experience for those invested in this field. Founded in 2006 by Dr. Deepak Khazanchi with over 40 members, SIGITProjMgmt has grown steadily in membership and influence. Today, it sponsors major tracks at AIS conferences such as AMCIS, PACIS, and ECIS, while also hosting the annual International Research Workshop on Information Technology Project Management (IRWITPM). The 19th edition of this highly anticipated workshop will be held as a pre-conference event in conjunction with ICIS 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. 2024 - ICIS Workshop SIG IT ProjMgmt will continue its tradition of offering a platform for leading researchers and practitioners to address critical issues in IT project management, from agile methodologies and virtual project leadership to distributed management and project success metrics.
