The Program Chairs for ICIS 2024 invite the submission of completed research papers, short papers, teaching cases, panels, and PDWs. Submission deadline is May 1.

The conference will also include TREO Talks and a Paper-a-Thon, and the submission deadline for these will be in October. We especially welcome submissions in current and emerging areas of Information Systems research as outlined in the twenty-five tracks.

To be held December 15-18, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand, ICIS 2024 will center around the theme “
Digital Platforms for Emerging Societies.” ICIS 2024 seeks to examine the expansive role of information systems in driving economic and societal transformation across the globe. This includes exploring how digital platforms foster new business models and entrepreneurship, and how they reshape traditional industries not just in emerging economies, but also in established markets. We are interested in how these systems influence social dynamics, community structures, and global economic trends.

We would also like to highlight a new track at ICIS 2024 – the Literature Review track is designed to spotlight research that employs all forms of literature reviews as its primary methodologies. Recognizing the immense value in synthesizing and analyzing existing research, this track aims to provide insights that are foundational for future explorations and innovations in IS. It offers researchers an opportunity to delve into the vast expanse of IS research, drawing connections, identifying trends, and critically examining the trajectory of the field.
