The next AIS Student Chapters Speaker Series event is taking

Emad Shafik, a senior executive at
Gartner, will present on IT and the Future of Business. Shafik is an advisor in the strategy and transformation field with extensive cross-industry experience innovating and optimizing businesses in various stages of growth. At Gartner, he acts as a strategic
advisor partnering with CIOs, C-level Leaders, and their leadership teams in public and private sector organizations. He guides them on executing their business and digital strategies that are underpinned by technology.
Previously, Emad held
several leadership roles in technology, spanning Enterprise Architecture, Strategy, Technology Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, IT Delivery and Transformation and Quality Assurance. He was also responsible for establishing and running the Enterprise
Architecture and Strategy functions in two blue-chip Telecom operators in the middle east.
Prior to his work in the telecoms industry, Emad worked in banking and investment banking where he was responsible for delivering solutions to banks
in London and New York. He also spent some time developing solutions for large Insurance brokers in London.
