The Association for Information Systems (AIS) community is heartbroken by the news of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. We send our condolences to those who have been displaced, injured or to those who lost friends, colleagues, or loved
ones. Association leadership has been in contact with members in the area with an offer of support and will continue to update this page as additional information becomes available.
We continue working to identify ways to support people in the region through relevant charities. The New York Times has identified

Thank you,

Another way of providing aid is to help people in the region return to everyday life as soon as possible.
One thing our community can do is help with the research and teaching efforts of AIS members in the region. AIS members may provide research assistance, materials, or even temporary teaching appointments to those in need. I am confident we can find volunteers if any university in the affected areas needs someone to give a lecture or series of classes remotely.
I propose that any affected member needing help with their MIS research or teaching contact the organization or list their needs here.
Best regards,
