ICIS 2022: A Tremendous Success

Thursday, January 5, 2023   (0 Comments)

The International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) welcomed more than 1,600 attendees to Copenhagen, Denmark across 53 countries. The conference program included 1,243 papers submitted within 25 conference tracks, 102 TREOs, 3 panels, 1 PDW, and more.

One of the highlights of ICIS 2022 was the presentation given by the Keynote Speaker. Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager, European Commission, spoke on the importance of having digital legislation, and how protections need to be in place to promote democracy within technology. Also, the ICIS 2022 Conference Committee was pleased to announce Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager as the recipient of the AIS Leadership Excellence Award. Thank you to Ms. Vestager who took the opportunity to speak at ICIS 2022.

ICIS 2022 was the first fully in person conference since 2019 in Munich, Germany. It was wonderful having everyone together again to network, present their paper, and more.  It was exciting to have the IS community come together to engage in forward thinking discussions on how best to contribute to research, business, and society. Thank you to all our volunteers for helping make this conference a tremendous success! We hope that you were able to share ideas, connect with old friends and meet new ones in Copenhagen.

Finally, we would like to thank all of our sponsors and exhibitors. We thank them for supporting ICIS 2022.

All ICIS papers, as well as video presentations, are available in the AIS eLibrary. Visitors of the eLibrary have an opportunity to leave comments for the authors and continue discussing the paper asynchronously.
