In just a few days, IS researchers, academics, and professionals will descend on Copenhagen, Denmark for ICIS 2022: Digitization for the Next Generation. To ensure you have the most detailed, up-to-date information, be sure to download the ICIS 2022 mobile app. The mobile app is the best resource for accessing the current conference program, engaging with sponsors and exhibitors, learning about hotel and venue information, and more.

Your login details have been shared with you via email with subject line “ICIS 2022 Mobile App” from AIS Communications, communciations@aisnet.org. Please check your junk/spam folder if you are unable to find it. Once you have logged in and set up a profile, you will be able to share your social media accounts and websites, as well as post messages and photos to the live social feeds. You can also create your own personal schedule based on the programming, so you don’t miss anything. Comprehensive instructions and troubleshooting details are available online.

Is this your first time attending ICIS? There is so much to see and do at this unparalleled event for the IS community. To help make your first ICIS experience more enjoyable, we have created a collection of resources specifically for first-time attendees, including ICIS-specific tips, and a series of Frequently Asked Questions. The first step is to download the mobile app and be sure to add the Member Connect event to your calendar so you get an opportunity to meet fellow members while learning more about the smaller networks within AIS.

Our Keynote Speaker, Executive Vice-President for the European Commission, Margrethe Vestager, has been instrumental in the development and adoption of two regulations, the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act. These acts protect users’ rights, create open markets, and require technology platforms to take more responsibility to address issues such as hate speech, data sharing, and promoting their own self-interests. Join us in recognizing her efforts as a leader in IS.

Our community is dedicated to building opportunities and providing support to all doctoral students. The AIS Doctoral Student College is hosting a series of events at this year’s ICIS Doctoral Student Corner, designed especially for doctoral students attending ICIS 2022. This free event gives doctoral students the opportunity to meet, ask questions, network, and interact with experienced IS scholars, who will provide advice on various aspects of academic life, including research, teaching, and service.

For those IS academics who have achieved tenure, the Mid-Career Faculty Workshop is an opportunity to help you achieve your goals and aspirations while learning to balance work and life. Cultivating a network of support can be the key to long-term success. The Mid-Career Faculty Workshop is an interactive event. The workshop will feature panels and break-out groups to create, reflect on, and promote individual career plans. To learn from experienced peers, be sure to register for this workshop.

There is a wide variety of opportunities to make the most of your time at ICIS 2022. Take a moment to review the latest list of SIG/Ancillary Meetings that are currently available. Need to make a change? You can modify your registration at any time to accommodate your schedule or add to your registration.

There’s still time to register for ICIS 2022! Join us as we bring our community together to engage in forward thinking discussions on how best to contribute to research, business, and society.
