Our Keynote Speaker, Executive Vice-President for the European Commission, Margrethe Vestager is the recipient of the AIS Leadership Excellence Award. Ms. Vestager has been instrumental in the development and adoption of two regulations, the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act. These acts protect users’ rights, create open markets, and require technology platforms to take more responsibility to address issues such as hate speech, data sharing, and promoting their own self-interests. The Paper-a-Thon in its 5th year facilitates new research collaborations, helps scholars develop their research ideas while making new professional connections, and—for the most promising projects—accelerates a publication review process. Over two days, project team members work together to craft an extended abstract and prepare the five minute pitch presentation for editors and other senior scholars. Then up to three finalist papers are invited to present at ICIS. Don’t miss these innovative presentations!
TREO Talks are accepted papers on technology, research ideas, education innovations, exciting tools & data, or opinions related to any area of information systems, the information systems research community, or information technology.
