The Nominating Committee for the 2023 Council Elections will be assembling a ballot early in 2023. The committee’s charge this year is to assemble a high-quality slate of candidates for the following open positions:
AIS President (Region3)
AIS VP Region 1
AIS VP Region 2
AIS VP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion*
The responsibilities for each position are listed in the AIS Bylaws 6, that can be found at here: (https://aisnet.org/page/AISBylaws). The nomination process steps are described in the AIS Bylaws (Bylaw 7.3), that can be found at here: (https://aisnet.org/page/AISBylaws).
AIS Council meets four times annually. Two of these meetings are virtual (March and September) and the other two are in-person meetings (June and December). Barring any global issues that would prevent us from meeting face to face, we hope to continue in person and offer a hybrid option for those who are not able to travel. Depending on the position, active members of the Council spend approximately 8-10 hours per month fulfilling their volunteer duties.
