ECIS 2022 Names Best Paper Winners

After two years of virtual conferences, the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) returned to an in-person format in Timisoara, Romania. ECIS welcomed 350 attendees who participated in paper sessions, panels, Doctoral Consortium, Junior Faculty Consortium, workshops, and Doctoral Student Corner.

ECIS 2022 had 790 papers submitted within 24 insightful and impactful conference tracks. Accepted papers are available in the AIS eLibrary. AIS members have an opportunity to leave comments for the authors and continue discussing the paper asynchronously via the eLibrary. 

The success of ECIS 2022 in Romania is due to the tireless efforts of the conference committee led by Conference Chairs Roman Beck of IT University of Copenhagen, Dana Petcu of West University of Timisoara, Marin Fotache of Al. I. Cuza University of Iaşi, Romania and the engaged and dedicated team of professors and volunteer students at the West University of Timisoara. "Many thanks to all participants for making ECIS 2022 such an amazing event,” said Roman Beck.

The Claudio Ciborra Award Winner recipients: “Sustainability Vs. Price: Analysis of Electric Multi-Modal Vehicle Sharing Systems Under Substitution Effects” by Muhammed Demircan, Ramin Ahadi, Wolfgang Ketter.

The Claudio Ciborra Award Runner Up recipients:

  • "A Delphi Study of Obsolete Assumptions in Free/Libre and Open Source Software" by Patrick Marois, Josianne Marsan, Kevin CARILLO, Klaas-Jan Stol, Brian Fitzgerald;
  • "Counting on Guanxi When Transacting Millions? Hybrid Guanxi Under Digital Transformation" by Tong Li, Yuval Millo, Markos Zachariadis

Best Research in-Progress Paper Winner recipients: "Rethinking Consumers’ Data Sharing Decisions with The Emergence Of Multi-Party Computation: An Experimental Study" by Wirawan Agahari, Mark De Reuver.

Best Research in-Progress Paper Runner Up recipients:

  • "Conceptualization and Design of a Workflow Management System Front End for Augmented Reality Headsets" by Johannes Damarowsky, Stephan Kühnel
