An AIS membership opens the door to many
benefits aimed at improving personal careers, creating networks for advanced IS
research, providing opportunities to create more inclusive communities and
more. For the next few months, AIS will be highlighting the many programs and
services the association offers through our Focus on Society.
This new program, Focus on Society, will not
only highlight the longstanding programs and services our members have grown to
expect, but also highlight recent additions to help create a more robust member

AIS World Listserv
A
daily feature that AIS offers our members is the AISWorld Listserv. The
Listserv is a convenient tool that allows those who are subscribed to a
particular list to easily broadcast information about upcoming conferences,
forthcoming books, and more, to others subscribed to the same list. Subscribers
of the Listserv may choose whether to receive a daily digest or individual
alerts to their emails. Common announcements include information about
conferences, calls for papers or book chapters, job postings, and more! The
AISWorld Listserv is open to the general public though there are other lists
only available to AIS Members.

The AISWorld Listserv has served the community tremendously for decades, but in my opinion, it is long due for a migration to modern technology. There are lots of solid alternatives: https://alternativeto.net/software/mailing-group--listserv/.
