New and Innovative Offerings at AMCIS 2021

We are less than 2 months away from AMCIS 2021 and you will not want to miss out! AMCIS 2021 will take place virtually August 9-13. The Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) is one of the leading annual conferences for presenting the broadest variety of research by IS/IT scholars in North America and beyond. Every year its papers, panels, and workshops are selected from over 800 submissions, presenting the latest research in systems, technology, and methods from around the world and from across the SIG communities.

The AMCIS 2021 committee is excited to introduce six new and innovative program offerings. These offerings will allow participants to network and learn while honoring and expanding the intentional impact of the IS community.  AMCIS 2021 Paper Development Sprint

  • Objective is to assist authors in the rapid development and revision of a research paper
  • Feedback from Senior Scholars who are experts on the papers' topics
  • Thursday, August 12 at 4 p.m. EDT

New Best Paper Awards

  • "Top 25%" of papers and winners will earn a badge attached to their articles in the eLibrary
  • Papers will be showcased in the conference proceedings

Editors Panel

  • Editor's Panel coupled with AIS Research Exchange Series
  • Friday, August 13 at 1 p.m. EDT

Social Project

  • Social Project initiative is geared toward developing technology-based solutions for issues affecting businesses and communities in the conference home city
  • Open to all who wish to participate

ERF Innovations

  • Authors will be able to present their research and receive feedback on research-in-progress or research ideas
  • ERFs will have more presentation time during this year's conference

AMCIS 2021 TREO Innovations

  • TREO sessions will introduce the virtual Senior Scholar Roundtable
  • Senior Scholars and attendees will provide feedback after presentations
  • Presentations will be posted online and attendees will vote for the People's Choice Award TREO research presentations
