Former AIS President and AIS Fellow, Joey George, has accepted to serve as the new Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Midwest Association for Information Systems (JMWAIS) starting with the July 2021 issue. George has been highly involved in the IS community for 35 years and serves as the John D. DeVries Endowed Chair in Business at the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University. George has served as a senior editor of JMWAIS since its inception along with many other high-ranking journals in the IS field. He has a long track record of service to the IS community, including serving as ICIS 2001, 2012, and 2020 conference co-chair. "I am happy to take on the role of EIC of JMWAIS, following in the footsteps of the journal's first editor and MWAIS founder Dan Power,” stated George. “Dan and Rassule Hadidi worked hard to make JMWAIS a solid journal, with a unique focus on America's Heartland. I have enjoyed being involved with the MWAIS chapter since I moved to Iowa State University in 2011. I hope I can meet the expectations for the journal that Dan and Rassule set." JMWAIS is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, quality focused, open access online journal which strives to be unique, interdisciplinary, and committed to expedited and constructive review processes for authors. JMWAIS was established in October 2013 and publishes original articles from the Information Systems, Information Technology, and Management Information System communities. The journal works to facilitate scholarly communication while serving as a record in the field of Information System and Technology.
