ECIS 2020 Best Paper Winners

Thank you to all who participated in ECIS 2020. The first of three events in the AIS Virtual Conference Series, ECIS welcomed more than 1,100 attendees to participate in keynotes, paper sessions, panels and networking rooms.
ECIS 2020 had more than 900 papers submitted and Accepted papers as well as video/powerpoint presentations are available on the AIS eLibrary – visitors have an opportunity to leave comments for the authors and continue discussing the paper asynchronously.
ECIS 2020 also presented the following awards:
The Claudio Ciborra Award went to Caroline Pade-Khene, Ingrid Sieborger, Percy Ngwerume and Chido Rusike for their paper “Enabling Digital Social Accountability Monitoring of Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Services: MobiSAfAIDS.”
Runner Up for Best Research-in-Progress Paper went to David Soto Setzke for his paper “Reducing Socio-Technical Inertia During Digital Transformation – The Role of Dynamic Capabilities.”
Winner of the Best Research in-Progress Paper went to Ulrich Bretschneider for his paper “Which Motivations Boost Idea Quality? Exploring the impact of customers’ motives for participating in virtual ideas communities on ideation outcome.”
Runners-up for Best Research Paper included “Cultural Levels and Emergent Cultural Contradictions in IS Development” by Sharon Geeling, Irwin Brown and Peter Weimann and “Becoming a Digital Ecosystem Orchestrator – The Sydved Case” by Frida Ivarsson and Fredrik Svahn.
Winner of the ECIS 2020 Best Research Paper was Hendrik Jontgen’s paper “Fueling the Firestorm: Effects of Social Capital on Users’ Persuasiveness During Online Firestorms.”
