Dear Members of the IS Community,

As the world continues to react to COVID-19, the response from the IS community has been phenomenal. We have witnessed our members pivot quickly to online learning, adapt to new research models, and continue to build community through unique solutions. We are very proud of the way our community has handled this unique experience and look forward to celebrating your successes when the time is right.

In the meantime, we are still highly encouraging you to submit your research to the ICIS 2020 program. The ICIS 2020 program will be held no matter what, whether in person, virtually, or as a hybrid model. Submissions for ICIS 2020 are due May 3. The review process is scheduled to continue its normal trajectory as planned.

The theme of ICIS 2020, Making Digital Inclusive: Blending the Local and the Global, could not have come at a more necessary time in our global response to COVID-19. Digital inclusion is the idea that all stakeholders should have equal opportunities to participate in and benefit from digitization initiatives and related innovations.  Grassroots digital innovations can potentially lead to the development of global solutions, and mass global technology solutions can be creatively localized.  Now is the time to highlight these solutions and allow the IS community to lead the charge in adapting to global solutions.

As a reminder, all papers accepted to the ICIS 2020 program will be published in full in the AIS eLibrary and authors. By continuing to publish, despite the format of program delivery, we hope to showcase just how inclusive our community can be.

Thank you for all you continue to do for our community and we look forward to bringing you an outstanding ICIS 2020.

Conference Chairs,
Joey George and Souren Paul
