AIS is calling for nominations to fill the position of Editor-in-Chief (EIC) at the Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS).
CAIS is one of the two flagship journals of AIS and has a proud tradition of publishing novel, original and groundbreaking research as well as methodological essays and guidelines. CAIS is the only AIS outlet that publishes matters and studies related to IS pedagogy. CAIS also fosters the free flow of ideas within the IS community while its emphasis on originality, importance, and cognancy of ideas helps to provide an outlet for subjects falling outside the focus of many tradition academic journals.
The new EIC must have a demonstrated record of research in the field, previous editorial experience at the senior editor level, dedication and enthusiasm for CAIS, ability to effectively manage the editorial process and electronic journal publishing and marketing, commitment to the workload, and support from the candidate’s institution.
A newly appointed committee will be conducting a search for the new EIC. All AIS members are invited to nominate candidates. Self-nominations are also welcome. Please submit nominations on the AIS website including a brief statement of the candidate’s qualifications and upload a resume or curriculum vitae no later than December 31, 2019.
