AIS has continued its partnership with the Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) at the Fox School of Business, Temple University, to produce the updated 2017 IS Job Index. This index organizes national level data on placement, types of jobs, satisfaction and more to generate a comprehensive view of the information systems field.
This most updated version of the IS Job Index includes data from 2017, which shows excellent placement rates, salary growth, and more. For example, salaries for Bachelors IS graduates are 21% higher than other business majors, while the IS placement rate of 85% six months after graduation is almost double the overall national placement rate of 49%.
According to Munir Mandviwalla, Temple University, “Our partnership with AIS, now in its third round of data collection, is critical in generating this longitudinal data about the growth of the field.”
This information is valuable for IS programs as they continue to promote their programs and achievements to potential students and employers. With the most updated IS Job Index, also comes the opportunity to incorporate data into promotional items such as customized postcards, banners, posters and more with university logos.
