America’s Conference on Information Systems is an exciting and educational 5-day conference spent in Boston focusing on “A Tradition of Innovation.” The AMCIS 2017 schedule is packed with workshops, research presentations and panel discussions, featuring something to offer for people at all levels of their professional lives.

Early-career faculty consortium: These consortium participants are AIS members beginning their first, second, third or fourth year in an academic position in the Fall of 2017. It offers participants insight into their academic career that can help them be valuable, marketable, and successful in their career from their own perspective as well as that of their university and the academy. Various topics and exercises will also participants to engage in conversations with themselves, but they will also be able to learn from and communicate with experienced faculty members and several Deans. Mid-career faculty consortium: Mid-career tenured and/or associate professors comprise over half of the faculty in higher education and are the backbone of their institutions and play a critical role in advancing the mission of their institutions. This consortium will be a peer-led workshop, allowing first time attendees and those who have attended the workshop before to participate and discuss their roles and what they have learned.
