AIS is proud to introduce the Turkey Chapter of the Association for Information systems as the newest chapter in the AIS community. The Turkey Chapter (TRAIS) was approved by Council during the March 2016 meeting.
The mission of TRAIS is to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among scholars and professionals in Turkey engaged in the development, management, and use of information systems and technology.
Some of the goals of TRAIS include promoting the exchange of communications on research, education, design, implementation, and management of information systems in both private and public organizations in Turkey.
In order to reach those goals, the chapter will provide a locally-focused forum for those concerned with all aspects of information systems, provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas concerning the management of information systems with member counterparts, conduct locally-focused programs and conferences for the benefit of members and provide a means for critical examination of the problems and opportunities associated with information systems in Turkey.
The chapter will be led by president Meltem Ozturan, vice-president Asli Sencer, secretary Mehmet Aydin and treasurer Bilgin Metin.
