Join the Journal of the Association for Information Systems Editor-in-Chief, Dorothy Leidner as she discusses the current state of the journal, upcoming changes to move it forward, and more. Moderated by Roman Beck, this session will give attendees an insider look at the growth JAIS has experienced under Leidner’s lead, as well as provide time for networking.

Dorothy E. Leidner is the Ferguson Professor of Information Systems at Baylor University. She is a Senior Research Fellow of Lund University in Sweden. Dorothy received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, from where she also received an MBA with a concentration in information systems and a bachelor’s degree in the Plan II Honors program. She received an honorary doctorate from Lund University in 2018 and became a Fellow of the Association for Information Systems in 2011. Dorothy is currently the editor-in-chief of the Journal for the Association of Information Systems. She has previously served as senior editor for MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, the Journal of the Association of Information Systems, and the Journal of Strategic Information Systems. She directs the PhD program in Information Systems at Baylor, a program she founded in 2008. It was a milestone for the University, being the very first PhD program offered by the Hankamer School of Business.

Roman Beck is Full Professor at IT University of Copenhagen and Head of the European Blockchain Center. Roman is among the top 3% of all German professors in business administration and among the top 1% of information systems researchers in the world. Roman is Head of the Danish ISO TC 307 Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technology standardization group and representative of Denmark at the European Blockchain Partnership Technical Work-ing Group at the EU Commission in Brussels. He is appointed expert at the OECD Blockchain Policy advisory board and at the UNECE Chain where he leads the governance interoperability group.
