AIS and AACSB share a commitment to strengthening the role of business school research in advancing knowledge, improving practice, and addressing societal challenges. AIS contributed to AACSB’s Global Research Impact Task Force through the leadership of Andrew Burton-Jones, AIS Past President, and Dorothy Leidner, AIS President, who served as task force members. The resulting AACSB framework highlights AIS’s Spiral Model of Research Impact as an important example of how research impact develops through iterative cycles of insight, output, outcome, and real-world change. Together, AIS and AACSB are helping business schools broaden how research impact is defined, assessed, communicated, and supported across the global business education ecosystem.
