General Information about Placement Service
The AIS Placement Service provides listings of universities seeking faculty
applicants and applicants seeking a faculty position. Those registered with the
AIS Placement Service will be also given exclusive access to the Placement
facilities at the Americas Conference on Information Systems and International
Conference on Information Systems, if also registered for the conference. There
are four types of AIS Placement users:
- Applicants seeking to post their standardized
c.v./resume and to browse all job posting listings.
- Universities seeking to post standardized university
listings and to browse all listings.
- Individuals seeking to browse all job posting listings.
- University representatives seeking to browse all
individual applicant c.v.s/resumes.
Dates of Operation
Placement will be active year-round, with one full year of access granted
with each payment.
Deadlines
The on-line system will be updated continuously so there is no specific
deadline for submitting information to be included on the Web. If you want your
information available electronically at the AMCIS Conference or the ICIS
Conference, you must submit it at least 14 days prior to the first day of the
conference.
Additional placement listings will not be added 5 days prior and during the AIS
conferences.

General Placement Questions
You can view listings, you can post your resume
(depending on the placement category selection), and you can participate in
placement activities at AIS conferences (you must make your own appointments).
Contacting and interviewing for career opportunities is not limited to the AIS
conferences.
Placement activities at AIS conferences include: Free placement tables at which
universities may meet with individuals. These tables are on a first come first
serve basis. Tent cards are provided at the conference by AIS with the name of
the university. Both the university and the individual must be registered with
AIS Placement and registered for the conference (university representatives and
candidates) in order to obtain access to the AIS hosted placement space.
Private Placement Tables: This option is available based on space at varying
conference venues. The charge for this option is $500. This provides one set
location with 6x8 or 8x8 booth (full side and back drapes), skirted table, and
three chairs. Each university who utilizes this service will be listed on a map
available at the entrance to the private placement area. Institutional Members
of AIS who are recruiting receive a private placement booth as part of the
benefit of their Institutional Member status with AIS. Remaining booths are filled
on a first come, first served basis. This service is an attempt to provide a
more economical option for our member schools during their recruitment process
which also allows them one set location and additional privacy for their
interviews
