NSU Student Chapter Hosts DigiSkill Expo

The AIS Student Chapter from North South University in Bangladesh recently held DigiSkill Expo 2017, with the theme Fast Forward Bangladesh.
DigiSkill Expo 2017 was a two-day digital innovation and entrepreneurship fest with an initiative to inspire young minds in the world of digitization. The event focused on digital marketing, information systems, SME online startup, and ICT industry insights.
The vision for the event was to aid Bangladesh to become a middle income nation by 2021 through developing digital skills and harnessing skills critical to aid young people in advancing a digital Bangladesh.
The expo featured Nasrul Hamid, State Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, followed by panel discussions with IT experts and youth speakers. E-commercen industry and IT business firms also had the opportunity to display their views and business ideas to encourage more participation by Bangladesh youth.
“The initiative taken by our student chapter members at NSU has not only been educational, but also inspiring,” said James Parrish, AIS Vice President of Student Chapters. “Their dedication to serving society through the advancement of information systems speaks directly to the AIS mission.”
