MWAIS 2017 Conference
The Midwest Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) serves Association for Information Systems (AIS) members across the Midwest United States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. MWAIS exists to meet the needs of Information Technology thought leaders in the U.S. Heartland.
The 11th Annual MWAIS conference was hosted by the School of Information Studies of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from May 19-20, 2016. Twenty-two papers were presented in eight sessions covering IT adoption, the impact and use of IS in organizations, development information security policy, the role of culture and compliance in information security, human-computer interaction, use of social media, research methods in IS, and IS education and training. Several doctoral, Master’s and undergraduate students also presented papers.
The annual MWAIS conferences provide a low-cost venue for academics, university leadership, graduate and undergraduate students, local area practitioners including CIOs, and AIS representatives from across the Midwest and beyond, to interact and build relationships in an intimate and effective environment to facilitate the sharing of ideas within a small and social setting. The 12th Annual Conference of the Midwest AIS will be held in Springfield, Illinois, and is sponsored by the College of Business and Management at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
