The 20th Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS 2016) will be held in Chiayi, Taiwan from June 27 to July 1, 2016. PACIS, the premier annual information systems conference in the Pacific Asia region, strengthened ties with AIS to become the AIS Region 3 conference last year. It offers a great opportunity for researchers and practitioners to exchange research findings on the latest developments in the IS field, and to foster regional and international collaboration within the community. Record-breaking is the main keyword to describe PACIS every year. In total, PACIS 2016 received 741 papers from more than 1,900 authors in 49 countries. This submission number is a 15 percent increase over the previous record of 641 submissions to PACIS 2015 in Singapore. These numbers reflect a significant growing trend in the IS community in the Asia Pacific region.
PACIS 2016 offers a comprehensive and high quality program including keynote speakers, research paper presentations, and panels, preceded by several workshops and the doctoral consortium. In addition, it is the best time to visit Taiwan and experience its multi-faceted culture and the hospitality of its people. We are looking forward to having a successful PACIS 2016 with plenty of constructive and inspiring debates, as well as fun and new friendships. Finally, we express our sincere appreciation to the distinguished conference committees for their tremendous effort in organizing PACIS 2016.
We welcome you and your participation in PACIS 2016, Chiayi, Taiwan!
