AIS Council has approved a measure to upgrade the design, service and functionality of aisnet.org. In the coming months many new and exciting features will be added to the site to better serve members and help advance the field of information systems.
The first change went into effect on Nov. 12 and users might experience a brief change in their security settings. This has been done to better protect AIS members and their secure information. Site visitors will now see the "aisnet.org" in their web-browser address bar (and it will no longer jump to "ais.site-ym.com".) As this new addressing takes effect throughout the entire AISNet site, visitors may experience certificate warnings, especially if they have bookmarked certain "ais.site-ym.com" pages. A warning message regarding the SSL certificate will be in red and highlighted. Visitors should click 'yes' to continue to the page. Visitors should also plan to refresh and replace their aisnet.org related bookmarks to the new domain. They can also edit their old AIS bookmarks by replacing the "ais.site-ym.com" part in the URL with "aisnet.org".
Many other updates will be rolled out to the aisnet.org site during the coming months, including a mobile-responsive design so you can access aisnet.org any time! If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
