Student Chapter Award Winners Announced

The Association for Information Systems is proud to announce the recipients of the Annual Student Chapter Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement among student chapters of the association.

 

Brigham Young University has been named the AIS Student Chapter of the Year. This is the highest award given to a student chapter that has demonstrated an exceptional, well-rounded, and organized program.

 

Additionally, the University of Alabama, Temple University and the University of Montana have been named Distinguished Chapters by the association for excelling in professional development, membership, careers in IS, community service, fundraising, and communications.

 

The Outstanding Chapter Award, given to chapters who have shown excellence in at least three areas of chapter activities. Villanova University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of Toronto have been named Outstanding Chapter Award winners.


The Best New Chapter Award is given to the best chapter founded (or restarted) 15 months or less before the report due date. This year's Best New Chapter is awarded to the University of Utah.

Careers in "IS"

  • Duquesne University
  • Michigan State University
  • St. Joseph's University
  • University of Colorado Denver
  • University of Georgia
  • University of Texas at Dallas

Community Service

  • American University - Cairo
  • Arizona State

Fundraising

  • Duquesne University
  • University of Georgia

 

Each year AIS Student Chapters are required to submit an annual report to maintain good standing and communicate the good work of the chapter from the past year. The award recipients are determined by a committee of volunteers who meticulously screened each chapter report.
