AIS is excited to announce the 2016 AIS Student Chapter Competition!

Based on advisor feedback from last year, the competition is now available early to give participants time to work the competition into classes and perfect their entries.

IBM is sponsoring the Bright ICT Bluemix Competition Track. Their support will provide larger prizes and general support for the conference. They are also providing free access to IBM Bluemix for the teams AND for the advisors! Advisors will have additional access to resources and courseware. Click here for instructions on how to access the free code.

All of the competitions (except the video competition) will take place at the 2016 AIS Student Chapter Leadership Conference [SCLC] April 1-3, 2016 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

Analytics Competition

The 2016 Student Chapter Leadership Conference will once again include an Analytics Competition. We are excited to work with Temple University to offer this challenging competition to the IS Students. Details are still being ironed out and we hope to release the competition information soon!

Bright ICT Bluemix Competition

The IBM Bluemix Bright ICT contest allows competitors to demonstrate the impact IS can have in making the Internet a safer place by challenging teams of 1-5 individuals to design and implement an innovative IS solution leveraging the power of IBM’s Bluemix platform to prevent undesirable and dangerous activities on the Internet.

SAP Innojam Competition

For those looking for more coding opportunities, the SAP Innojam Competition by SAP is an on-site event where competitors will learn, code and submit entries while attending the Student Chapter Leadership Conference.

Security Case Study Competition

This years challenging case focuses on a fictitious insurance company searching for a way to make their in person collection of life insurance information more digital and above all secure. Students will be challenged to find ways to add new technology while keeping information secure.

Video Competition

This years theme is Why Should You be in an AIS Student Chapter?   As an AIS Student Chapter member, you know why you love being a part of this program.  Now here's your chance to tell everyone else by creating a short (less than 5 minute) video on why should your fellow IS students start (or be a part of) an AIS Student Chapter!
