The AIS leadership team has launched a search for a new Executive Director to lead AIS. The Executive Director is the chief staff officer of AIS and is responsible for managing resources to assure the organization’s achievement of its mission and strategic goals established by the AIS Executive Council. The Executive Director has overall strategic and operational responsibility for AIS staff and programs. The Executive Director reports to the AIS President and is responsible for the operations of the organization within the boundaries of approved budgets, bylaws, and policies of the association.
“The committee is looking for a candidate to help direct AIS as the premier society to serve the advancement of knowledge and excellence in the practice and study of information systems,” said search committee member Jason Thatcher. “We are very excited with the field of candidates who have responded so far and are hopeful to find the right person to help meet our AIS members’ needs.”
The Executive Director search committee includes President Jae Kyu Lee, President-Elect Jason Thatcher, Immediate Past President Helmut Krcmar, Past President Jane Fedorowicz, Founding Executive Director Ephraim McLean, Richard Bakserville, Jeff Rausch and Aretha Wright.
